1. Background of application :

TRICO UNION is reserving the methods of resin compositions containing silver particles of nano size. Since 2001, TRICO has negotiated with the specification of patent which was prepared by UNIS for the cooperation of manufacture with the companies. Among them, BORYUNG MEDIANCE, the infant goods manufacturer of the subsidiary of BORYUNG Pharmaceutical Company, has agreed to produce the nursing bottle that TRICO’s techniques will be applied. TRICO hope that this technique’s adoption is expanding to the various uses because it can be applied every kind of plastic product.

2. Analyzing the Client’s request

With being the NANO technologies used commonly, there are many inventions including the product which is made of silver as its materials with applying this technology, but the problem is that the silver is not mixed with the plastic. TRICO UNION has solved this problem with coating the nano size of silver particles with the resin and then mixed with the plastic materials. When we consider the character of silver which has the function of antimicrobial, the product which requires the antimicrobial character such as the nursing bottle is proper to apply this technology.

3. Preparing the Patent Specification and the Result

UNIS had searched the patent document regarding the methods of the manufacturing the various resins which are including the nano silver based on the above provided information. The result showed that all of the patents at that time of research were taking the method of blending the nano silver itself without coating it. So UNIS has prepared the specification with the decision of that the novelty and the possibility of registration on that technology are existing, the applicant’s initial intent was only for the nursing bottle, but UNIS advised that it could narrow down the range of applicable rights, so UNIS prepared the specification which has the method of manufacturing applicable to the general kinds of plastic products, And now this application is on the stage of completion of examination.
